This year, Easter will take place on Sunday, April 16. It’s important to spend the day celebrating the holiday’s significance by spending quality time with family and friends. A great way to do this is by attending one of the many excellent Easter activities on Long Island.
Fun Easter Activities that You Won’t Want to Miss
Breakfast with the Easter Bunny
Great Neck’s Pump It Up, which is known for its giant inflatables, will be hosting one of this year’s premier Easter activities. On Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., stop by to enjoy a family-friendly breakfast with the real-life Easter bunny!
Breakfast with the Easter bunny will begin with a 70-minute egg hunt where kids will have to locate 6 Easter Eggs that are scattered throughout the huge arenas and gigantic inflatables. Once they find an egg, they can bring it to the Easter bunny and exchange it for candy.
After the egg hunt, the festivities will continue with a bagel breakfast and several fun craft projects. Each child will have a photo-op with the Easter bunny and leave with a free goody bag. Reserve your spot at this special event here.
Easter Sunday Car Parade
Garden City will be the site of the 62nd Annual Easter Sunday Vintage Car Parade on Sunday, April 16. The parade will start at 1 p.m. but gates open at 10 a.m. in Parking Field 9E on Franklin Avenue, between Ninth and Eleventh Streets.
This one-of-a-kind event will showcase some of the rarest, most unique automobiles in the world. These authentic, old-fashioned vehicles will include antique, classic, non-replica and special interest cars that were made between 1918 and 1992.
If your car matches these requirements, then consider registering it to be shown in the parade. All registered cars will receive a commemorative dash plaque when they check-in.
Barnyard Egg Hunt
On Saturday, April 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Barnyard Egg Hunt will take place at the Queens County Farm Museum in Floral Park. For the giant Easter egg hunt in the orchard, all you need to do is bring a basket!
Whiskers the Bunny will be hopping around the event and taking pictures with all of the children. Other Easter activities at the Barnyard Egg Hunt include:
