Hosted by the Long Beach Department of Parks and Recreation, this race will commemorate and uphold the memory of a beloved police officer and member of the Long Beach community, Sean Ryan. Right after the children’s fun run at 8 AM, the 4K sprint will take place on Laurelton Boulevard and on the boardwalk. Runners will be awarded from male, female, resident, wheelchair, age, and police divisions. In addition to the prizes given to the winners, each participant will receive a special t-shirt to mark the occasion. You can register online here.

Wherever you decide to go among all of these Fourth of July events, make sure you exercise safe and careful practices.
