Gantry Plaza State Park

Gantry Plaza State Park runs right along the East River, so it boasts brilliant views of Manhattan. The park is built around gantries, which are bridge-like overhead structures that support cranes, that were once used to load and unload barges. Those same gantries, now restored, are now used as a monument to the past of this wonderful waterfront location.
