Fall Fairs on Long Island

Fall is here, and that means there are tons of great festivals and fairs on Long Island to celebrate the season! From live music and farmers’ contests to hay rides and farm animals, there’s plenty to do and see all over Long Island this time of year. But isn’t it a pain to try to keep track of all these events? And hunting down the information online is an absolute nightmare! That’s why we’ve done all the groundwork for you—there’s a pumpkin out there waiting for you to come paint it at the a Long Island Fall festival, and if you’re too busy trying to find the address, you’re going to miss out on the fun!


All Fall Festivals and Fairs on Long Island

 

Long Island Fair

October 2-5 – Thu/Fri: 10AM-4PM; Sat/Sun: 10AM-5PM.

Old Bethpage Village Restoration, 1303 Round Swamp Road, Old Bethpage.

Admission: Adults $12; Children 5-12 and Seniors $8; Children under 5 FREE!

Specials: Sat/Sun 10AM-12PM - $7 each for everyone. Thu/Fri $5 each all day for seniors.

The Long Island Fair has a replica of the 1866 Fairgrounds Exhibition Hall to show off prize-winning vegetables, flowers, and crafts. If you’re an animal lover, the LI Fair is for you, because there are tons of farm animals, pony, camel, and horse-drawn wagon rides, a petting zoo, and a reptile show! For our history buffs, there are a number of historical demonstrations, old fashioned baseball games, Civil War reenactments, and much, much more!

 

Our Lady of Lourdes Bazaar

October 3-5 – Friday: 6-10PM; Saturday: 4-10PM; Sunday: 1-7PM.

This Parish celebration and community gathering will be full of great food and entertainment, in addition to a bunch of carnival rides and games! Fun for the whole family!

 

Plainview-Old Bethpage Street Fair

October 5 – 10AM-6PM.

999 Old Country Road, Plainview.

A second edition from the folks at Long Island Street Fairs, this weekend will bring the same caliber of quality Long Island goods to the streets of Plainview for your viewing and buying pleasure!

 

Street Fair in the Park

October 11-12 – 10AM-5PM.

Eisenhower Park, Merrick Avenue and Stewart Avenue, East Meadow.

Free Parking in Field 8 Only!

We’ve talked about the Street Fair in the Park at Eisenhower before, but it’s still the same, great shopping experience you’ve come to know and love!

 

Fall Festival and Costume Parade

October 11-12 – 10AM-5PM.

Long Beach Kennedy Plaza, 1 W. Chester Street, Long Beach.

The costume parade begins at noon on Saturday at Rec Fields. All weekend, enjoy a carousel, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, hay rides, live music, craft vendors, and more!

 

Oyster Festival

October 18-19 – 11AM-6PM.

Theodore Roosevelt Park, East End Avenue, Oyster Bay.

We wouldn’t be truly celebrating the Long Island culture if there wasn’t an Oyster Festival on the list! Head up to Oyster Bay to celebrate our seaside history and admire the tall ships, pirate shows, midway rides, live entertainment, and of course the oyster eating and shucking contest! Fill your belly with delicious, fresh, local seafood and you’re certain to be going home happy that night!

 

International Oktoberfest

October 25-26 – 11AM-6PM.

Broadway Mall, 358 N. Broadway, Hicksville.

Admission: $10 per person/day.

International Oktoberfest is a two-day Long Island Fall festival to celebrate craft beers from around the world! There’ll be some of the best gourmet food trucks around, activities for the whole family, and a specially-created outdoor Vendor Village. They’ll even be playing Sunday’s football game on a big, outdoor TV screen in their beer garden!
