Q104.3 Dad Fest
Head out to NYCB Live at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale at noon on June 23 for the first inaugural Q104.3 Dad Fest, which celebrates all things fatherly. From fun challenges and obstacle courses to beer gardens and live music, this Long Island festival has everything that dads love and enjoy.
You will be able to test your “dadurance” as you compete in head-to-head obstacle courses, as well as other exciting activities for all ages like:
- T-Ball Challenge
- Punt/Pass Cannon and step-overs
- Slap shot
- Football toss
- Miniature golf
- Speed pitch
If you happen to work up an appetite or just get thirsty, Dad Fest will feature a beer garden and tons of tasty food vendors. Mr. Met, Mookie Wilson, Wesley Walker and Howie Rose will even be on hand for meet-and-greets. Lastly, there will be live music from acts, such as The Bourbon Stills Band. Maria Regina Parish Family Festival
If you’re looking for an old-school fair with rides and funnel cakes, the Maria Regina Parish Family Festival in Seaford is the place for you! From Thursday, June 21 to Sunday, June 24, you can find thrill rides, live entertainment and delicious food right in your backyard.
Every day of the festival even has its own theme. For instance, Saturday is Italian Night and will feature live music from DJ John Iovino and Frank Lamphere and the Sounds of Italy.

Long Beach International Film Festival
The Long Beach International Film Festival will celebrate its seventh anniversary with an action-packed line-up of independent and studio films from around the world.
From August 1 through 4, the festival will be showing an international slate of films, including full-length features, documentaries, shorts and animated films that will compete for a variety of awards.
