Waterfront Restaurants on Long Island

It’s such a great time to get out and enjoy the weather ‘round the clock, so it’s about time we bring you a list of some of the best places to grab a bite outside! While we know that outdoor dining is fantastic in itself, one of the biggest benefits of being a Long Islander is never being too far from the shore, which is why our list focuses on waterfront restaurants on Long Island! Whether you’re on the South Shore or the North Shore, our two-part series has you covered.

Waterfront Restaurants on Long Island: North Shore

Waterfront Restaurants on Long Island | Wall's Wharf, Bayville

Wall’s Wharf

18 Greenwich Ave., Bayville | (516) 628-9696

Wall’s Wharf could not get better in terms of accommodating all kinds of crowds. The outdoor dining area is so close to the beach that there are often children who stray from their tables to stick their toes in the ocean. Usually I’d say that a restaurant with kids running around isn’t for me, but the atmosphere at Wall’s Wharf is perfect for a night out for anyone. It’s spacious and beautiful, so your party is able to share an intimate meal in peace, no matter how others care to spend their evening. Plus, they have their very own Tap Room—what’s not to love?

Waterfront Restaurants on Long Island | Ocean, Bayville

Ocean @ The Crescent Beach Club

333 Bayville Ave., Bayville | (516) 628-3330

Ocean is situated in one of the most spectacular waterfront venues on Long Island. Their menu is composed of seasonal and organic ingredients that are hand crafted by skilled artisans into edible masterpieces. Take in the beautiful sunset over the Long Island Sound while you enjoy an incredible meal with friends and family.

Waterfront Restaurants on Long Island | Louie's Oyster Bar, Port Washington

Louie’s Oyster Bar & Grille

395 Main St., Port Washington | (516) 883-4242

Louie’s is not only a delectable waterfront restaurant on the North Shore, but local landmark with a rich history dating back to 1905, too. Back in the day, you’d have to take a boat to Louie’s, since it was built on a floating barge anchored out in the bay. While that’d be a fun way to spend the day, let’s take all the work out of getting a great bite to eat. Park your car, walk through the door, and sit down for something delicious while enjoying the beautiful seaside.

Waterfront Restaurants on Long Island | La Parma, Port Washington

LaParma on the Bay

415 Main St., Port Washington | (516) 439-4960

This is the newest location of a restaurant that’s been a favorite among locals throughout the island for the last 30 years. All four locations, in Williston Park, Huntington, Oceanside, and now Port Washington, are family owned and operated, bringing authentic, family-style Italian cuisine to tables all over Nassau County. With the introduction of LaParma on the Bay, customers can now take the classic meals they already loved to a whole new level by enjoying them while overlooking the water.
