It’s no secret that we love food here at Ollie’s Taxi & Airport Service. We spend plenty of time driving around Long Island, so we have been to tons of great restaurants. That being said, Long Island Restaurant Week is one of our favorite times of year. This week, until Sunday, November 8, tons of Long Island restaurants will be offering three-course, prix-fixe meals for just $27.95. With over 185 restaurants participating, it may be difficult to decide where to eat. So, Ollie’s has put together a list of restaurants worth checking out this week.
Suffolk Spots for Long Island Restaurant Week
Located in Bayshore, Aji 53 is participating in this week of fantastic foods. Aji 53 is home to some of the best signature sushi rolls around, and their classic rolls are just as good. The American Dream Roll is at the top of our signature roll list. If you’re not a fan of sushi, there’s plenty more delicious Japanese cuisine such as Miso sea bass and filet mignon. You can create quite a few combinations with their restaurant week menu, so take a look here to see what suits your tastes.
Fifth Season is a restaurant in Port Jefferson that serves some awesome American food. Their menu is changed every 12 weeks, because they only utilize ingredients that are in season for maximum freshness and taste. Healthy salads and soups are available for the first course, and a huge range of food is available for the second, including honey spiced duck breast and pumpkin ravioli. For dessert, seasonally appropriate pumpkin cheesecake and apple crumb cake will be served. If you want to see else what they’ll be offering for restaurant week, you can find their menu here.
Butera’s of Smithtown
If you’re in search of Long Island Restaurant Week deals on Italian food, head over to Butera’s in Smithtown. Their promotional menu for the week consists of appetizers like mozzarella fritta and grilled asparagus. The entrée list is quite extensive, but the baked veal sausage pasta gratinate and grilled tilapia sound especially exciting. For dessert, you can’t go wrong with a classic cannoli.
Nassau County Restaurant Week Ideas
Thom Thom Steak & Seafood
Thom Thom Steak & Seafood is located in Wantagh. For appetizers, you can find a variety of foods ranging from tuna tacos to beef meatballs with fresh mozzarella to tuna sushi rolls. Their entrées are just as diverse, with choices like seafood paella, filet mignon and baked chicken caprese with fettucini. You can see their entire restaurant week special menu here.
The Melting Pot
The Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant found in Farmingdale. For Long Island Restaurant Week, they have plenty of great choices. For each course, you’ll have plenty of options for dipping. We’re most excited about the third course, though. For dessert, you’ll be able to dip strawberries, bananas, Rice Krispies Treats, marshmallows, pound cake and brownies into excellent fondues. Eric’s Italian Bistro
Located in Mineola, Eric’s Italian Bistro offers a large restaurant week menu. For the first course, go for any of the soup or salad options or try their “Italian sushi.” Main course options include classic Italian food but also some different things, such as herb-crusted filet of salmon and braised lamb shank. For the final course, they offer a sampler of three different dessert items.
No matter which restaurant you dine at for Long Island Restaurant Week, the deals they offer are more than worth it. If you’re in need of transportation to taste these fantastic foods, don’t hesitate to give Ollie’s a call or make a reservation online.
