Fourth of July parties

Next week is the Fourth of July. So, if you haven’t made any plans yet, you better get a move on figuring out what you’re going to do for the big day. Luckily, we’ve compiled a complete list of the top Fourth of July parties in New York City!

Exciting Fourth of July Parties for Everyone

2018 Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest

One of the most time-honored Independence Day traditions in the entire country is the 2018 Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest. The big question this year is if Joey Chestnut will win the Mustard Belt again, or will Matt Stonie pull off the upset?

The contest will take place at the corner of Surf and Stillwell at Nathan’s Famous flagship location in Coney Island. The women’s hot dog eating contest will be at 10:50 a.m., while the men’s competition will be at noon. If you can’t make it out for the contest itself, you can catch all of the action streaming live on ESPN2.

Northern Territory

Come out and celebrate the birthday of America at Greenpoint’s Northern Territory, one of the best rooftop bars in Brooklyn and also a perfect location to see the Macy’s fireworks show. There will be a DJ all night long. Not to mention, there will also be plenty of boozy cotton candy and red, white and blue drink specials.

Tickets to the big party, which starts at 4:00 p.m., are $60 at the door, so get there in advance to reserve your spot. If catching a patriotic fireworks show from a scenic rooftop bar sounds like your kind of party, visit Northern Territory on July 4.

LIC Flea

LIC Flea, located in Long Island City, is usually known for their wide array of retro clothing, unique antiques and out-of-this-world eats. However, this Independence Day, they will host one of the area’s top Fourth of July parties.

Stop by and shop while enjoying some quality smoked BBQ and all kinds of worldly cuisines. You can wash it all down with some day-drinking at the all-Queens Beer and Wine Garden, which serves up-and-coming breweries like SingleCut Beersmiths and Queens Brewery.
