Jets Football

Even though August (and eventually summer) is winding down, football is on the horizon. As the days get shorter, the air gets crisper and the leaves change color, our favorite local football teams are back in action. With Giants and Jets football right around the corner, we decided to single out some of the teams’ biggest home games on the schedule.

The Top Matchups for the Upcoming Giants and Jets Football Season

The Best Jets Games of 2019

Even though they only managed to scrape together a 4-12 record last year, it’s a new era for Jets football. With new head coach Adam Gase and running back Le’Veon Bell on hand, the Jets look to take the AFC by storm with star quarterback Sam Darnold leading the way.

Not to mention, the Jets defense also includes the likes of Pro Bowl safety Jamal Adams, C.J. Mosley and newly-drafted tackle Quinnen Williams from Alabama. So, all in all, this unit is looking to do some damage in the upcoming match-ups at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Week 2: Cleveland Browns

On Monday, September 16 in primetime, the New York Jets will go head-to-head with the Cleveland Browns. And this is not your ordinary lowly Browns team. This year, they have acquired ex-Giant Odell Beckham Jr. to pair with Jarvis Landry and Baker Mayfield, making this a must-see match-up.

Week 7: New England Patriots

On Monday, October 21 at 8:15 p.m., the Jets will play the division rival New England Patriots. Even though the Pats usually get the better of Gang Green, this always proves to be one of the biggest games of the season.

Week 10: New York Giants

At 1:00 p.m. on November 10, the Jets play the Giants. And you don’t need us to tell you how big of an occasion it is when these two local rivals meet face-to-face.

A Look Ahead at the 2019 Giants Season

Just like the Jets, the New York Giants also fell short in 2018 with a record of 5-11. Even though running back Saquon Barkley and kicker Aldrick Rosas made the Pro Bowl last year, the team lost team cornerstones like Landon Collins, Odell Beckham Jr. and Olivier Vernon in the off-season.

Still, the G-Men will look to bounce back and rise to prominence with new superstars against these big-time opponents at MetLife Stadium.

Week 2: Buffalo Bills

On Sunday, September 15, the Giants will open their home campaign against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. This intra-state rivalry is sure to be heating up as both clubs are looking to get off to a good start on the new season.

Week 9: Dallas Cowboys

It’s always an event when the Giants match-up against the Dallas Cowboys. On Monday November 4, these two heated, storied rivals will meet in primetime to decide who reigns supreme in their 2019 campaign.

Week 17: Philadelphia Eagles

To end the season, on Sunday, December 29, the Giants will face their divisional rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles. Expect players like Eli Manning, Sterling Shepard and Jabrill Peppers to make a last stand as the boys in blue fight for a playoff spot.

The upcoming Giants and Jets football seasons are sure to be interesting. So, if you’re looking to become a part of the action at any game this season, you can find Jets tickets here, and Giants tickets here.
